On April 1, 2025, in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam Airlines Corporation (Vietravel Airlines) held the 2025 Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders (EGM).

New steps to realize breakthrough growth goals

The Vietravel Airlines General Meeting of Shareholders approved the content of terminating the term before the term of all members of the Board of Directors (BOD) and the Supervisory Board for the 2022 - 2027 term, and elected a new Board of Directors for the 2025 - 2030 term consisting of 10 members, and a new Supervisory Board for the 2025 - 2030 term consisting of 03 members.

At the first meeting, the new term Board of Directors of Vietravel Airlines unanimously elected Mr. Do Vinh Quang as Chairman of the Board of Directors.

Along with Mr. Do Vinh Quang, the list of members of the Board of Directors of the new term of Vietravel Airlines also includes Mr. Do Quang Vinh - Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of SHB Bank, Chairman of BVIM Fund; Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Nghi - Deputy General Director of T&T Group; Mr. Dao Duc Vu - General Director of Vietravel Airlines; Mr. Vo Quang Lien Kha - Member of the Board of Directors, Deputy General Director of Vietravel Group Joint Stock Company, Mr. Doan Hai Dang - General Director of World Trans Joint Stock Company and a number of other senior personnel of T&T Airlines, T&T SuperPort.

Congratulating the success of the event, Mr. Do Quang Hien - Founder, Executive Chairman of T&T Group shared that with all the enthusiasm, talent, and resources, in a short time, the shareholders have built and developed Vietravel Airlines - the first tourism airline in Vietnam. Although it was born during the Covid-19 pandemic and faced many difficulties, Vietravel Airlines still stood firm, built its own brand, and had a position and market share in the current aviation market. As a major shareholder and strategic shareholder of Vietravel Airlines, T&T Group is committed to continuing the good traditions and achievements that Vietravel Airlines has achieved.

2025 is forecasted to be a year of explosive growth for global aviation, in which the Asia-Pacific region is expected to continue to be the largest and fastest growing aviation market in the world. This brings many opportunities for domestic airlines, including Vietravel Airlines. In particular, with the participation of strategic shareholder T&T Group, it will open up new opportunities for Vietravel Airlines to enhance competitiveness, expand its flight network and improve service quality, enhance Vietnam's air transport capacity and the tourism industry, thereby contributing to the country's socio-economic development.

According to Mr. Do Vinh Quang, the new Chairman of the Board of Directors of Vietravel Airlines, in the coming period, together with the strong development potential of Vietravel Airlines, the enthusiasm of shareholders, combined with management experience, strong financial potential and extensive partnerships of T&T Group will contribute to creating new breakthroughs in growth for Vietravel Airlines. The new term members of the Board of Directors will work with Vietravel Airlines to synchronously implement solutions in restructuring, standardizing the management system, developing high-quality human resources to achieve the goal of increasing the size of the fleet, expanding the exploitation of domestic routes, promoting cooperation and joint ventures to develop international routes, aiming to develop a green, professional, modern and sustainable airline.

Development according to the airline group model

Vietravel Airlines is an important link in the chain of infrastructure - logistics - aviation projects that have been and are being implemented by T&T Group. Together with Quang Ninh Port, Quang Tri Airport, Vietnam's logistics "super port" SuperPort in Vinh Phuc, Nam Phuc Tho Industrial Cluster, Aviation - Logistics - Service - Trade - Airport Urban Complex in Quang Tri and now the important piece - Vietravel Airlines, T&T Group is contributing to promoting the development of multimodal transport and creating new breakthroughs for Vietnam's logistics industry.

Up to now, the pieces in T&T Group's aviation ecosystem include: T&T Airlines - an enterprise specializing in aviation services established in 2018; Quang Tri airport with a scale of 265 hectares, total investment capital of 5,800 billion VND is being urgently constructed to be completed by mid-2026; Vietravel Airlines; and finally the Aviation Industry - Logistics - Service - Trade - Airport Urban Complex located in Quang Tri.

Most recently, in early January 2025, T&T Group and Singaporean consulting unit CPG Signature Pte Ltd had a working session with the People's Committee of Quang Tri province to report on the plan and ideas for the planning of the aviation industry - logistics - service - trade complex and Quang Tri airport urban area.

The planning idea of ​​"phoenix taking off" was developed from the historical values ​​and heroic feats on the Thach Han River, along with the indomitable will of the Quang Tri people, bringing the development of this place to a new height. Accordingly, the planning takes Quang Tri airport as the center, with an area of ​​3,400 hectares divided into 8 sub-areas. Of which, 5 functional areas include: aviation industrial park, logistics and distribution area, innovative aviation area, gateway connection area, modern service center area and 3 residential areas.

The idea of ​​planning the aviation - logistics - service - trade complex of Quang Tri airport has received support and high appreciation from the People's Committee of Quang Tri province for its creativity, feasibility, creating a breakthrough, opening up a new direction of development in the future to maximize the potential advantages of the locality.

At the Vietravel Airlines Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders on the afternoon of April 1, 2025, a representative of T&T Group also revealed new development directions in the aviation sector of this group. Accordingly, in order to realize the goal of building a complete aviation ecosystem according to the aviation group model in Vietnam, in addition to the passenger transport development strategy of Vietravel Airlines, T&T Group with a long-term vision is planning to expand into air cargo, "developing a regional air cargo center" as shared by Mr. Do Quang Hien, participating in the development of aviation services, ground services, technical services and aviation industry - a field with high added value. Mr. Hien's enterprise is currently promoting work with the world's leading aircraft manufacturers to seek cooperation and investment opportunities.

In the world today, countries that have successfully participated in the global aviation supply chain have closely cooperated with large corporations such as Boeing and Airbus to build an industrial ecosystem. If T&T Group and these "giants" join hands to develop maintenance and repair centers (MRO) and produce aviation components in Vietnam, this will be an important step to help Vietnam become a link in the world aviation supply chain, similar to the way Boeing has cooperated with Singapore or Airbus has invested in Malaysia and Thailand.
