T&T Group commences construction of a new-generation industrial park spanning nearly 200 hectares in An Giang

On March 30, in My Thoi ward, An Giang province, T&T Group, owned by businessman Do Quang Hien, officially commenced construction of the Vam Cong Industrial Park, covering 199.2 hectares with a total investment of VND 4,800 billion. This event marks the beginning of the formation of a new generation industrial park oriented towards green, modern, multi-functional, and sustainable development in the Mekong Delta region.
Delegates pressed the button to officially launch the construction of the Vam Cong Industrial Park.

This is a key industrial infrastructure project for the locality, contributing to promoting the socio -economic development of the province in the new phase, while also aligning with the orientation of shifting the economic structure from a raw material production center to deep processing and high-value logistics for the province and the entire Mekong Delta region.

The Vam Cong Industrial Park Infrastructure Development Investment Project, with T&T Group as the investor, received investment approval from the Prime Minister in Decision No. 890/QD-TTg dated July 25, 2022.

The project, spanning 199.2 hectares, is located at the southeastern gateway to Long Xuyen city – an area with numerous advantages in terms of infrastructure connectivity and trade in An Giang province. Situated on both sides of the National Highway 91 bypass, a crucial ring road, the project offers convenient connectivity to the city center while ensuring a modern, sustainable industrial development space, separate from residential areas.

In particular, the industrial park boasts the advantage of multimodal connectivity with the inter-regional transportation infrastructure system. The project is only about 3.5 km from the western North-South expressway, connecting to the Chau Doc - Can Tho - Soc Trang expressway, opening up fast transportation corridors to Ho Chi Minh City, Can Tho, Tran De port and major economic centers.

Furthermore, the industrial park is directly connected to My Thoi Port – a crucial logistics hub on the Hau River with an expected capacity of approximately 1.5 million tons per year, thereby creating a clear advantage in transporting large volumes of goods at optimal costs. At the same time, the project connects directly to the international waterway transport system, effectively linking with Can Tho International Airport at a distance of 50-55 km, helping to complete the multimodal transport network of the region.

With its advantageous and integrated road, waterway, and air connectivity, the project not only serves as a concentrated industrial production zone but also has the potential to become a crucial link in the region's goods transportation and distribution chain.

Notably, the Vam Cong Industrial Park is planned for development according to the ECOTECH 21 model – an economy linked to ecology and 21st-century high technology, aiming for a green, multi-functional, new-generation industrial park model. The overall project space is harmoniously organized between production areas, logistics areas, and ecological spaces, with over 30 hectares dedicated to logistics services, along with a system of green spaces and water bodies, accounting for more than 22% of the area, contributing to the creation of a sustainable production environment.

According to the plan, the Vam Cong Industrial Park will prioritize attracting high-tech industries, food processing, agriculture and fisheries, logistics, garment and footwear manufacturing, building materials production, information technology, electrical and electronics industries, etc., in line with An Giang's development advantages and the economic shift trends of the Mekong Delta region.

Upon becoming operational, the industrial park is expected to create jobs for approximately 7,800 workers, contributing to increased investment attraction and laying the foundation for the development of high-value-added processing, logistics, and service industries. Through this, the project will contribute to promoting economic restructuring, improving the efficiency of linkages between production, processing, and distribution throughout the region, and gradually enhancing the competitiveness of the locality as well as the Mekong Delta region, especially in the context of the Mekong Delta region accelerating the transformation of its development model from fragmented and small-scale to concentrated; strengthening intra-regional, inter-regional, domestic, and international connectivity.

According to Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan, Deputy General Director of T&T Group, the Vam Cong Industrial Park is one of T&T Group's key projects in the Mekong Delta region. It will be the gateway industrial park to Long Xuyen – a symbol of the shift from traditional agriculture to modern, high-value-added industry.

Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan, Deputy General Director of T&T Group, delivered a speech at the project's groundbreaking ceremony.

“With its strategic location, multimodal connectivity, and pioneering ECOTECH 21 model, T&T Group expects the Vam Cong Industrial Park to become a green manufacturing and modern logistics center for the region, contributing to promoting economic restructuring, enhancing the value of the supply chain, and making a practical contribution to the development of An Giang province as well as the Mekong Delta region in the new era,” emphasized the Deputy General Director of T&T Group.

Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Mr. Ho Van Mung, Chairman of the People's Committee of An Giang province, said that the Vam Cong Industrial Park project is in line with the socio-economic development orientation and priority areas for investment attraction of An Giang province in the period 2025-2030 and beyond. The project aims to concretize Decision No. 890/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister, building a modern and integrated industrial park. When operational, the project will create new impetus for economic growth, provide jobs for local workers, and attract more secondary investors to An Giang; contributing to promoting the socio-economic development of the locality.

At the same time, the implementation and completion of the project further affirms An Giang province's consistent policy of reforming administrative procedures, improving the investment and business environment, attracting investment, and developing economic sectors, especially the private sector, in accordance with the spirit of Resolution No. 68-NQ/TW, dated May 4, 2025, of the Politburo.

“An Giang province acknowledges and highly appreciates the sense of responsibility and determination of T&T Group in researching, proposing, and implementing the project; at the same time, commends the active coordination of the provincial departments, agencies, local authorities, and households within the project's affected area who have cooperated, facilitated, and assisted the investor in completing procedures related to planning, land, investment, land clearance, construction permits, etc., so that the project could be launched today,” the Chairman of the People's Committee of An Giang province affirmed.

Chairman of the People's Committee of An Giang province, Ho Van Mung, delivered a speech at the groundbreaking ceremony for the project.

In recent years, along with improvements in the investment environment and infrastructure development, An Giang is facing a great opportunity to break through and gradually assert its role as an important trade gateway of the Mekong Delta region. The formation of the Vam Cong Industrial Park is not only significant for the locality but is also considered a crucial link in the development process of the Mekong Delta – a region aiming to become the country's center for production, processing, and logistics.

The groundbreaking ceremony for the Vam Cong Industrial Park further extends T&T Group's mark in the field of industrial infrastructure development. Previously, T&T Group commenced the Nam Phuc Tho Industrial Cluster - Phase 1, covering 41.7 hectares in Hanoi, gradually forming a chain of industrial parks invested in by T&T Group nationwide, following a modern, integrated, and sustainable approach.

T&T Group donated nearly 1 billion VND to support 30% of the value of health insurance cards in 2026 for near-poor households in 4 wards and communes in the province.

Also within the framework of the groundbreaking ceremony, T&T Group donated nearly 1 billion VND to support 30% of the value of health insurance cards in 2026 for near-poor households in the wards and communes of Long Xuyen, My Thoi, Binh Duc and My Hoa Hung, contributing to ensuring 100% of people in the area have health insurance cards in accordance with the State's policy.

This activity further demonstrates the philosophy of "economic development coupled with social responsibility" that T&T Group steadfastly pursues. Beyond focusing on investment and business development, throughout its more than three decades of growth, T&T Group, led by businessman Do Quang Hien, has always actively collaborated with the Government and localities in community activities, social welfare, and caring for the health and lives of the people, contributing to building a strong and prosperous Vietnam.
