T&T Group and SHB Bank join hands with the Ministry of Public Security to build 700 houses for the poor in Bac Lieu province
On April 3, the Ministry of Public Security coordinated with the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Bac Lieu province to organize a ceremony to present houses and hand over funds to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses to households with housing difficulties in Bac Lieu province.
Within the framework of the ceremony, representatives of T&T Group and SHB Bank donated 42 billion VND to build 700 houses for poor and near-poor households in the province.

Bac Lieu is a province with many ethnic minorities, with the majority of people working in agriculture. This is also a locality that is often affected by natural disasters, drought, salinity, riverbank and coastal erosion, so people's lives still face many difficulties; the number of poor and near-poor households in the province is still high.
Through statistical review, Bac Lieu province currently has 3,886 poor households (accounting for 1.71%) and 6,911 near-poor households (accounting for 3.04%); of which, there are about 1,758 poor and near-poor households with housing difficulties, living in temporary or dilapidated houses that need attention and support for construction.
In the context of the province's limited local resources, in early 2025, the Ministry of Public Security has advocated accompanying and supporting Bac Lieu province to build 700 houses for poor and near-poor households.
With the spirit of social responsibility of large enterprises, and the desire to contribute resources to help disadvantaged people in Bac Lieu soon stabilize their lives with safe and solid housing, T&T Group and SHB Bank have decided to accompany the Ministry of Public Security in the program of "eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses" in Bac Lieu this time, through sponsoring the entire cost to build 700 houses, bringing a solid home to households in difficult circumstances.

As one of the households receiving financial support to build a house, Mr. Nguyen Van Bi (born in 1978; residing in Phuoc Hoa Tien hamlet, Phuoc Long town, Phuoc Long district, Bac Lieu province) expressed his deep gratitude to the Party, State, Ministry of Public Security, Bac Lieu provincial government and sponsors for their attention, support and construction of a new house.
“The hard work and sweat of police officers, youth union members, local authorities, sponsors… have contributed to help me have my dream house. I promise to use the house well and work hard to escape poverty,” Mr. Bi emotionally shared.

Sharing at the event, Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan, Deputy General Director of T&T Group, said that during the 32 years of establishment and development, in addition to production and business activities for the sustainable development of the economy, T&T Group and SHB Bank always focus on social security activities, especially programs to support people in difficult circumstances.
“Through this program, T&T Group and SHB Bank wish to demonstrate the spirit of social responsibility, mutual love, sharing and support to help poor households, near-poor households, and people in difficult circumstances in Bac Lieu province have a safe and solid home to stabilize their lives, work and produce with peace of mind to develop the economy,” emphasized Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan.

Previously, in 2024, T&T Group and SHB Bank also accompanied the Ministry of Public Security and local police to implement a program to build 150 houses and 1 school for people and children of ethnic minorities in mountainous areas of the northern provinces affected by storms, floods and natural disasters.
With the philosophy of "Business development is closely linked to social responsibility"; at the same time, thoroughly grasping the spirit of Executive Chairman Do Quang Hien: "Contributing to society is part of the duty and honor of the enterprise", over the years, T&T Group has continuously spread profound human values, promoting the tradition of the nation towards a bright future, for a strong and prosperous Vietnam.
Through the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and the Fatherland Fronts of provinces and cities, T&T Group, SHB Bank and businesses of businessman Do Quang Hien have donated thousands of billions of VND to support the poor and disadvantaged in society; support localities to overcome the consequences of natural disasters, storms and floods; build solidarity houses, eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in many mountainous and border provinces... Most notably, the program of donating 1,000 gratitude houses to the poor and meritorious people of Ha Giang province with a total cost of 60 billion VND; donated 25 billion VND to eliminate temporary houses and build solidarity houses for poor households in Dien Bien province...
