On November 18, within the framework of the Investment Cooperation Connection Conference for enterprises from Ho Chi Minh City to Ca Mau province, T&T Group and the People's Committee of Ca Mau province signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in a number of fields: aviation, transport infrastructure, renewable energy, real estate, industry and logistics...

According to the signed agreement, T&T Group and Ca Mau province will coordinate to research and open a direct flight route from Hanoi to Ca Mau operated by Vietravel Airlines (a member of T&T Group).

The direct flight is expected to solve the province's long-standing connectivity bottleneck, shorten travel time and create new momentum for tourism, trade and investment.

T&T Group will also survey and propose a civil project in the Hon Khoai port area following the model of a high-end urban and tourism complex combined with entertainment to exploit the landscape advantages and tourism potential of the area.

In parallel, T&T Group researched and surveyed the 1,000ha inshore reclaimed logistics area (the section adjacent to the bridge connecting the mainland and Hon Khoai port 17km), implementing a service and logistics model to serve clean energy production and logistics for Hon Khoai port.

Another important content in the cooperation agreement is the research and survey of urban, commercial and service complexes associated with port logistics following the Port Urban model (Netherlands) with a scale of about 3,000 - 5,000 hectares, in Dat Mui commune and Phan Ngoc Hien commune, ensuring compliance with the province's planning.

City Port is a type of urban area whose formation, development and socio-economic characteristics are closely linked to seaport activities.

In terms of structure, City Port will include port - industrial - logistics zones; transition zones; urban development zones and rear areas. This is not simply a city with a port, but the seaport plays a key role in promoting urban development.

In addition to projects related to the marine economy, businessman Do Quang Hien's group will coordinate with Ca Mau province to research and invest in an industrial-logistics ecosystem in Nam Can Economic Zone, which has a strategic location directly connected to international maritime trade routes.

T&T Group will also survey and research investment in the Ca Mau Airport Urban Area with a scale of about 1,000 hectares following the very successful model at Changi Airport (Singapore).

With the airport located at the core, the surrounding areas will be planned to become vibrant economic, financial, commercial, tourism and entertainment complexes; thereby creating a stronger driving force for development in the southernmost region of the country.

Transport infrastructure is also one of the key areas of the signed cooperation agreement.

Accordingly, T&T Group will study and invest in a highway connecting Ca Mau city (old) and Bac Lieu city (old) by extending highway No. 33 (HCMC - Tien Giang - Soc Trang) to the intersection of Ca Mau - Dat Mui highway, forming a seamless coastal transport corridor from HCMC - Soc Trang - Bac Lieu - Ca Mau - Dat Mui, with a length of about 81km, in the form of public-private partnership (PPP).

This strategic traffic route not only expands the space for urban, industrial, logistics and tourism development, but also promotes the regional connectivity role of Ca Mau airport and Hon Khoai port, effectively exploits existing land funds and infrastructure, creates new momentum for regional growth as well as strengthens national defense and security.

In the energy sector, T&T will study and propose investment in renewable energy projects in the 2026-2030 period with an estimated capacity of about 1,000 MW, in line with the province's emission reduction orientation and clean energy development planning.

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan, Deputy General Director of T&T Group, emphasized that Ca Mau is entering a historic moment, when the merger of Ca Mau - Bac Lieu opens up opportunities to connect regional strengths, optimize land - forest - sea potential and build a dynamic growth pole of the Mekong Delta.

With a sustainable development orientation and strategic vision, Ca Mau is emerging as the economic center of energy - aquaculture - eco-tourism in the region; opening up many attractive investment opportunities in many strategic fields.

Over the years, the cooperation between T&T Group and Ca Mau province has always been maintained closely and effectively in many fields, from construction investment, urban planning to social security activities.

Along with the signing of a strategic cooperation agreement (2021), currently, businessman Do Quang Hien's enterprise is implementing and proposing to research and invest in many key, large-scale projects in Ca Mau such as the New Urban Area of ​​Hamlet 5, Ward 1 (now An Xuyen Ward), in which the Social Housing project with a scale of more than 1,200 units, meeting the housing needs of nearly 5,000 residents, was just started on August 19.
