T&T Group aims to create a new development hub in Dak Lak.
T&T Group has proposed studying the possibility of investing in several large-scale projects in the urban and renewable energy sectors in Dak Lak. These proposals are based on the province's emerging development advantages and are part of the Group's investment expansion strategy in the Central Highlands and South Central regions.
On June 15, 2026, the leaders of Dak Lak province held a working session with T&T Group to discuss directions for investment and development cooperation in the province.
During the meeting, representatives from T&T Group reported on the results of their research and surveys, and proposed several key projects in the urban and renewable energy sectors. These are areas where the Group has many years of investment experience and is continuing to expand its scale nationwide.
Proposal to form a new growth pole east of Buon Ma Thuot
In its new development orientation, Buon Ma Thuot is being identified as the central driving force of the Central Highlands, a center for high-tech agricultural processing, export logistics, innovation, and regional services.
Based on this, T&T Group proposes to study the investment in a mixed-use urban area in eastern Buon Ma Thuot, encompassing Tan Lap, Buon Ma Thuot, and Ea Kao wards. The project is expected to cover approximately 776 hectares, with an estimated population of over 60,000 people and a total investment of approximately VND 44,433 billion. Located on Vo Nguyen Giap Boulevard, the project is situated in the key eastern expansion development area and is considered a gateway connecting trade, investment, and population migration from the external infrastructure system to the existing urban center.
This area also possesses many unique advantages, being conveniently located within easy reach of the airport, major highways, and the railway system, as well as planned future logistics hubs.
Representatives of T&T Group presented their investment proposal at the event.
Beyond being studied as a real estate project, the urban area is expected to become a new development hub in eastern Buon Ma Thuot, acting as a bridge for the emerging economic ecosystem in the locality. According to the planning concept, the project will be developed as a multi-functional mixed-use urban model with the Central Highlands Financial and Banking Center (CBD) as its core, combining commercial spaces, services, nightlife, sports, culture, and high-quality residential areas.
Notably, the project is being researched under the conceptual name "Solaris City - City of Light". According to T&T Group, along with modern financial, commercial, service, and entertainment functions, the project aims to create an urban area with a unique identity of the Central Highlands, combining indigenous cultural values with modern urban spaces.
Besides the project in Buon Ma Thuot, T&T Group also proposed studying investment in the urban area east of the National Highway 1 bypass in the Tuy Hoa - Binh Kien area, one of the new urban development spaces of Dak Lak province after the merger. The project has a scale of over 304 hectares, with a total estimated investment of 20,198 billion VND, and an implementation period from 2028 to 2035.
The project aims to build a green, smart, and ecological urban area; to develop a comprehensive system of technical and social infrastructure and modern urban amenities, combining service spaces, eco-friendly housing, parks, and sports facilities. The project is geared towards sustainable urban development linked to the natural ecosystem and local cultural identity, creating new impetus for development in the western part of Tuy Hoa city.
Seizing the potential for renewable energy development in Dak Lak.
Alongside urban development, renewable energy is also one of T&T Group's strategic investment pillars in Dak Lak.
Currently, T&T Group is one of the leading private investors in Vietnam in terms of the scale of renewable energy development. The group owns a series of operational and ongoing projects with a total capacity of approximately 2,872 MW; and continues to research and develop around 14,000 MW nationwide. The total investment value to date has reached approximately VND 41,500 billion (USD 1.5 billion).
According to T&T's assessment, after expanding its development area, Dak Lak possesses many advantages for large-scale renewable energy development thanks to its diverse topography, meteorological conditions, and land resources. The province has an average wind speed of 6.5-7 m/s and solar radiation levels of 1,750-2,050 kWh/m²/year, placing it among the regions with favorable conditions for developing large-scale wind and solar power projects.
Besides its natural advantages, the power transmission infrastructure is also being gradually improved. According to the revised Power Development Plan VIII, Dak Lak is located within the transmission system connecting the Central Highlands, South Central region, and the southern load area via the 220kV and 500kV networks, creating favorable conditions for connecting and evacuating power from future energy projects.
Scene from the working session
Representatives from T&T Group stated that they are currently finalizing investment procedures for energy projects with a total capacity of approximately 924 MW in the province. Of these, the Group has submitted investment proposals for four projects with a total capacity of approximately 330 MW and is coordinating with relevant authorities to complete the necessary procedures. In addition, the Group has also received approval from the Provincial People's Committee to conduct research and surveys on 500 MW of wind power, with the aim of including it in the revised Power Development Plan VIII for implementation during the 2026-2030 period.
T&T Group proposed continuing research and surveys of potential areas to consider adding them to the revised Dak Lak Provincial Planning for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050, as well as subsequent power planning periods. In particular, the Group expressed its desire to collaborate with the province in researching options for reviewing and consolidating small-scale project clusters into larger projects to save on transmission infrastructure, reduce investment costs, and improve the efficiency of resource utilization.
Dak Lak hopes T&T Group will expand its investment in the locality.
Speaking at the meeting, Secretary of the Dak Lak Provincial Party Committee Luong Nguyen Minh Triet acknowledged and highly appreciated the interest and goodwill of T&T Group in researching and exploring investment opportunities in the locality; he also emphasized that Dak Lak always welcomes and creates favorable conditions for capable and reputable investors to explore and implement projects that are consistent with the local planning and development orientation.
