The Hanoi FC Community Football Center was launched as Vietnam steps up efforts to develop physical education and school sports. Marking the 80th anniversary of the Traditional Day of Vietnam’s Physical Training and Sports Sector (March 27, 1946–March 27, 2026), General Secretary To Lam emphasized: “A healthy nation begins with its children; a strong sporting system begins in its schools.”

This message not only reaffirms the role of physical education in the country’s human development strategy but also sets an important direction for Vietnamese sports in the new era.

A foundation for sustainable football development

As an enterprise with a longstanding commitment to the development of Vietnamese sports, T&T Group and Hanoi FC identified early on that investing in community football is an investment in the future.

Under the vision of Founder and Executive Chairman Do Quang Hien, building a strong footballing nation must begin with the broadest foundations of society: schools, communities and the passion of children themselves. Professional football can develop sustainably only when it is supported by a far-reaching training ecosystem in which every child has an opportunity to participate in sports and grow in a healthy environment.

This philosophy has served as a guiding principle in Hanoi FC’s development strategy for many years. Alongside building one of Vietnam’s most decorated football teams, establishing one of the country’s leading youth development systems, and continually strengthening its position in domestic and continental competitions, Hanoi FC has continued to expand its social responsibility through community-focused initiatives.

Following the direction set by Executive Chairman Do Quang Hien, Hanoi FC President Do Vinh Quang oversaw the establishment of the Community Football Center as an important component of the club’s long-term development strategy.

Under this vision, community football must go beyond simply organizing football classes. It should become a foundation connecting schools, families and society, helping develop school football, promote positive lifestyles and establish a pipeline of high-quality players for Hanoi football.

The Hanoi FC Community Football Center has been founded on a clear philosophy: every child deserves an opportunity to play football, grow through the sport and be inspired to pursue positive values in life. The Center provides a modern and professional yet welcoming training environment in which children can access football under the best possible conditions.

The Center welcomes children aged seven to 13. Its training program is based on Hanoi FC’s professional coaching curriculum and adapted to each age group and stage of childhood development.

To make the program accessible to all children, every training session is provided completely free of charge at four locations: Cienco 5 Football Ground in Me Linh, the football ground at Lane 99 Dinh Cong, Dao Sen Football Ground in Long Bien and Doan Mon Football Ground on Truong Chinh Street.

“What distinguishes this training model is not only that it teaches football skills or provides tuition-free training, but also that it focuses on the comprehensive development of every trainee. Each session combines technical training, physical development, tactical awareness and education in values such as teamwork, discipline, respect and a positive lifestyle,” emphasized Mr. Trieu Quang Ha, Director of the Hanoi FC Community Football Center.

During an exchange with the trainees at the opening ceremony on July 9, goalkeeper Quan Van Chuan revealed that he had joined Hanoi FC’s youth academy at the age of nine and had remained determined to pursue his dream despite the difficulties he encountered.

He expressed his hope that the children training at the Center would grow into strong young men who always maintained their passion, embraced challenges and treasured every minute on the pitch.

“However, you must not forget to study hard and always be good children to your parents,” striker Nguyen Van Tung added.

From community pitches to the future of football

For Hanoi FC, community football also serves as an important gateway into its youth development system. Through regular training, coaches can monitor each trainee’s progress over an extended period and identify children with exceptional potential for recommendation to the club’s youth academy.

This approach not only makes the selection process more systematic and evidence-based but also creates opportunities for talented young players to be discovered at an early age.

Alongside its training activities, the Center will work with schools to organize football festivals, school tournaments, experiential programs and exchanges with Hanoi FC players. These will provide valuable activities for children while helping make football a part of everyday school life, in line with the Party and State’s direction for developing physical education.

Another important objective is to build the Hanoi FC supporter community through the families of children participating in the program. Every training session, tournament and experiential activity will create an opportunity for parents, trainees and professional players to meet, interact and share their passion for the capital’s football club.

Through these initiatives, Hanoi FC is seeking not only to build a club with strong professional capabilities but also to foster a closely connected community in which football serves as a bridge for positive values.

For Hanoi FC, investing in the Community Football Center represents more than the launch of a new training program.
