Pioneering the development of breakthrough technology solutions

Presenting to Party and Government leaders at the Vietnam International Innovation Expo 2025, Dr. Yap Kwong Weng, CEO of Vietnam SuperPort™, said that Vietnam SuperPort™ has been and will integrate artificial intelligence (AI) application technologies that have been successfully deployed at YCH Group's Supply Chain City (SCC) in Singapore. In addition, the "superport" also cooperates in developing AI solutions with the world's leading technology partners to strengthen cargo handling capacity and support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Vietnam.

General Secretary To Lam, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and leaders of ministries and branches visited the exhibition booth of T&T Group at the event.

These are breakthrough innovations, in which the focus is on 4 solutions: New generation artificial intelligence for aviation operations; logistics connection platform; automated cargo handling by robots and building a roadmap according to international standards, towards the Net Zero commitment by 2040.

Specifically, for aviation operations, according to Dr. Yap Kwong Weng, ICD Vinh Phuc's "superport" is researching to apply an AI-based document authentication system. This is a solution that automatically extracts and verifies important information from goods documents according to regulatory requirements; thereby simplifying the compliance process, minimizing manual effort, and significantly improving document validation accuracy.

In addition, Vietnam SuperPort™ is also researching the application of AI to the cargo screening system to proactively detect and warn prohibited and dangerous goods. The solution helps improve the accuracy and reliability of the cargo scanner system, allowing real-time warnings; thereby improving process efficiency, minimizing dependence on manual inspection.

For the logistics connection platform, Vietnam SuperPort™ has established a strategic partnership with Vietnam Post Logistics and financial and technology partners such as Techcombank, Visa and Doxa (Singapore) to co-develop an integrated logistics market platform, strongly supporting Vietnamese SMEs. The platform supports small and medium-sized businesses to comprehensively digitize from order to payment, integrate real-time order tracking, simplify procedures, and transparency of processes. At the same time, the platform connects to bonded warehouses, transportation, and financial services, helping to improve cash flow, reduce paper-dependency, and enhance the capacity to participate in global trade.

Dr. Yap Kwong Weng, CEO of Vietnam SuperPort™ presented innovative solutions at ICD Vinh Phuc "superport" – Vietnam SuperPortTM

In the field of automation, Vietnam SuperPort™ is collaborating with the Government of Singapore's Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR) and partners in the ecosystem to develop AI-integrated Robot solutions for Extended Air Warehouses (OACT) to optimize cargo handling capacity; improve productivity and reduce error rates; thereby, consolidating competitive advantages. These include Autonomous Guided Vehicles (AGVs); Robot loader; Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMR).

ICD Vinh Phuc is also committed to achieving net-zero emissions by 2040, in line with global trends, increasingly stringent legal regulations and multinational customer requirements for low-carbon logistics services. To realize this goal, Vietnam SuperPortTM applies a strict carbon audit process using Blockchain and AI technology for all operations, monitors Scope 1 and 2 emissions, and develops a specific roadmap to ensure sustainable emission reduction progress. This is an important goal to contribute to the development of the circular economy. unshakeable; thereby positioning Vietnam SuperPort™ as a pioneer in the trend of green logistics in Vietnam and the region.

Continue to realize the major policy on innovation and creativity

Vietnam SuperPort™ is the first "superport" in the ASEAN Smart Logistics Network, and one of the largest logistics centers in the North. This is a multimodal logistics port, with an area of up to 83 hectares, a total investment of nearly 300 million USD, located in the industrial "capital" of Binh Xuyen (Phu Tho province), invested and developed by T&Y SuperPort Vinh Phuc Joint Stock Company – a joint venture between T&T Group of Bau Hien and YCH Group (Singapore).

Located on the Northern Economic Corridor, Vietnam SuperPort™ connects 20 industrial parks with major seaports and airports, including Haiphong, Noi Bai, and extends to Yunnan and Kunming, China. Inheriting YCH Group's nearly 70 years of experience in logistics, Vietnam SuperPort™ takes advantage of its connections to global supply centers across Asia, including China, India and Southeast Asia.

Vietnam SuperPort™ is positioned as a strategic multimodal logistics hub, connecting the China-Southeast Asia freight network with global markets through road, rail, air and sea. According to a World Bank report published in 2023, Vietnam ranks 43rd in the Logistics Performance Index (LPI) ranking, in the Top 5 ASEAN after Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and in the same position as the Philippines. The average annual growth rate of Vietnam's logistics is from 14-16%, the scale is from 40-42 billion USD/year; making an important contribution to bringing Vietnam's total export and import turnover in 2024 to 786.29 billion USD.

According to experts, in order to further enhance the contribution of the logistics industry to the economy, businesses need to proactively build a digital transformation strategy, in which it is necessary to promote the application of new technology solutions, artificial intelligence in practical activities. In Vietnam, this is also an issue that is of particular concern today. According to Decision No. 200 of the Prime Minister, one of the tasks to improve the competitiveness and development of Vietnam's logistics services by 2025 is to "research and apply new technologies, technical advances, and modern technologies in management, operation, and training on the supply chain in order to achieve higher quality of logistics services".

In particular, according to Resolution 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo on breakthroughs in scientific and technological development, innovation and national digital transformation, logistics is 1 of 7 industries and fields that need to be prioritized to promote smart production.

The fact that Vietnam SuperPort™ continues to introduce a series of modern technology solutions at VIIE 2025 has reaffirmed its strategic vision in digitizing logistics to build a smart, efficient and sustainable connected ecosystem for Vietnam and the region.
